Happy (no labor) Labor Day

We had a fun, yet laid-back Labor Day weekend. I hope y'all enjoyed yourselves also.

On Saturday we went to the Kid's Pizza Fest in Peachtree City. At the kid-centered festival, Lauren and Tyler went on a trackless train ride (glorified golf cart ride,) and Lauren rode a pony. Tyler was going to ride too but he got scared when it was actually time to do it. We went around lunch time so we indulged in some pizza. All the nearby pizza shops had booths there and so people were able to sample some of the local pizzerias. Our pizza was quite tasty but would be more enjoyable had there not been a thousand ants crawling on the rock we decided to sit on. Oh well.

Lauren's pony ride.

Later that day, Lauren and Tyler helped Matt install a stereo in one of Mr. Johnny's cars. It was a hot and humid day and you can really tell from Lauren's drenched-in-sweat look she's sporting.

After the car stereo was installed we had the neighbors (Buddy & Dana & kids) over for dinner. We used up some of the left-over meat we had from the fantasy football draft and also blended up some yummy margaritas.

Sunday, Matt worked on the basement bathroom (he's sheet-rocking now,) I did laundry and the kids watched a heck of a lot of TV. Later, Tera (little neighbor girl) came over to play for a couple hours. Lauren had a blast and I absolutely enjoyed watching the girls play together. They were both talking a mile a minute and both were very sad when the playdate came to an end.

After the kids went to bed Matt and I watched "Little Miss Sunshine." I really liked this movie even though Dana said she thought it was horrible. All y'all will have to decide for y'all-selves. It was creative, cute and HiLaRiUs...according to my own warped sense of humor!

Today Matt continued to work on the basement while I printed out pictures for the kids' photo albums.

Tomorrow Lauren's back to school and we'll be back on a schedule. Yippee. A lack of schedule makes me a very lazy lady.
