busy day

Today was our neighborhood garage sale. I'm guessing about 10 homes or so participated and it brought in a decent amount of bargain hunters. I had read that soothing music helps the sale so I turned on XM radio to the Starbucks channel and let her mellow-ly rip. It must have helped because we sold over $200 worth of treasures. We sold the crib, 2 baby gates, all my maternity clothes and a bunch of baby clothes among other things. If I will ever get pregnant again it would be right now since I sold my stuff. Now that the crib is gone, poor Tyler is camping out in a sleeping bag in his bedroom. Lauren’s new bedroom set should be in in about a week and then we’ll move her toddler bed into his room.

The kids had their swim lessons again today and Matt took them since I was busy wo-manning the garage sale. Matt gave me the scoop about how it went. Actually, the other parents watching the class Lauren is in gave him the scoop on how Lauren was doing since he had to chase Tyler all over the YMCA to keep him occupied. He said Lauren is really progressing. She’ll float with a floatie without any assistance now and she’s learning how to kick and make her self go. After her lesson was over she sat on the bleachers and watched Daddy and Tyler have their lesson. Tyler had a rough time at first. He wanted his juice-water but Daddy said no. Halfway through he got over it and finally had some fun.

After nap we headed out to the jumpy place for a birthday party. Lauren was invited to a classmate’s party and we all went to have some fun.

Lauren is the 2nd from the left and the birthday girl is in the dress and being hugged by her brother. Sorry for the blurry picture but I'm going to have to blame the camera and not the photographer. We so need a new camera. (and that is not Tyler laying on the floor although he did wear a red shirt. He was throwing his own fit off to the side.)
Lauren played with her friends and did a lot of the slides and activities herself. Tyler had a blast playing with all the older kids. He loves to be around other kids and has so much fun getting knocked over and jumped on by them. Matt and I enjoyed seeing our kids play and also got to meet some of the other parents and students in Lauren’s class. At the party we had pizza, cake and ice-cream and we just called that dinner. This party was right in the middle of the Oregon v. Boise State game. Since the Ducks lost I’m (we’re!) actually glad we didn’t watch it. =)
Here's some more (although poor quality) pictures of the kids at the party.
don't ya think L looks like a young (blond) me in this pic?

We were so busy today that we would really like to just rest and hang out at home tomorrow but the county fair is going on this week and I think the kids would really enjoy it. We'll see....

Happy Saturday evening, y'all.

Wow, $200...that's great! Get ready to spend it all at the fair...that place is expensive!
We're going this afternoon too-maybe we'll run into you! :-)
