The kids woke up this morning at 7am sharp. Tyler had actually opened his door a couple of times earlier to check if Lauren was up yet. He'd go back in his room after seeing her door still closed.
They came in and snuggled with me for a bit and then decided to go play downstairs. 20 minutes later when I came downstairs Tyler told me they had a snack. I asked what kind of snack and Lauren looked guilty while she told me they had a giant chocolate chip and also a chocolate carrot stick. Due to the guilty look I knew it wasn't play food. A quick glance in the garbage told me they had a Hershey Kiss and a Tootsie Roll each.
Sneaky. I reminded them of the (new) rule that we don't have snacks until after breakfast.
