cheap gas, cheap date, and cheap fun

...and there you have our weekend recap.

cheap gas:

can you see it?! That's $1.85 per gallon. It cost UNDER $40 to fill up my gas destroying Denali.

We filled up the tank on our way to our "cheap date" on Saturday. We had Morgan come over to sit with the kids while Matt and I took off to Andre's Off the Square in downtown Newnan to use my "$25 off" restaurant.com coupon (which I bought for $2 during an 80% off sale.) Andre's was an excellent choice. It was definitely a classy restaurant with great atmosphere, good food presentation and best of all affordable prices. This was a well needed date for Matt and I and was also very enjoyable and won't leave too big of a dent in our new no frills budget.

We had Morgan keep the kids up because later that evening we had "cheap fun" plans to meet up with Mr. Mike at his sister's house to watch the Ultimate Fighting Championship match. (these are matches right?) We brought the kids so they could play with Tera and Mike's sister's almost 2-year-old son Cole. The kids played very well together and finally crashed out on blankets, completely clueless to the blood bath we were watching on TV.

Sunday, Matt watched football at Mike's house while Tera came over to play. At some point the kids decided to turn it into a pajama party. Tera borrowed some of Lauren's and Tyler even brought a pair of his PJs down to change into. I tried to take a picture of them playing Duck Duck Goose in their PJs but it didn't turn out. Instead you get a picture from this morning of Lauren pulling Tyler around in the wagon.

It was a cheap, cheap, cheap weekend but full of fun and especially good memories for the kids.
