no more pencils, no more books

School is out for the Summer!
Hooray!!
Lauren began the summer celebration by performing a musical program with her fellow Kindergartners. There were so many people crammed into the Club Cafe that I couldn't get a good picture. Here is one of her walking back to class after the performance.

Tyler listens to the soon to be first graders sing.

Back in class the children received awards
and took pictures with their teachers
Ms. Dawn and Mrs. Thomas.
Way to go Lauren!

Now that school is done we've been having so much fun.
Abigail's Birthday Party
this party had it all...horse rides, hay rides, pizza, cake, pinata, water balloons, etc. etc

Cook Outs
We've had a couple of these so far. Most involve a pool in one way or another.

Road Trips
Georgia to Alabama to Mississippi to Louisiana
and back again

he's an excellent driver

We stopped in for a quick peek at Dauphin Island, AL.
This was about 2 days before the oil started showing up on the beach there.

I'm glad we got to put our feet in...who knows the next time we will in the Gulf.
So sad!

relaxing in a Mobile, AL hotel

Hilltop Arboretum in Baton Rouge, LA
(can you see the humidity?)

Mobile Bay, Alabama

It was a fun trip and there may or may not be another one coming up soon!

iPADs
(not ours)

we may need to get one for the budding artist

Tyler will snuggle for view of iPAD

Friends
notice how nice Tyler was to give his friend his sleeping bag

lots of friends
three of us Mom's came up with a schedule where one day a week one of us will watch everyone's children. This gives each of us 2 full days a week to get things done
(like shopping, pedicures, and definitely not cleaning!)

and finally, we rearranged the living room
What do you think of the new look?
(please ignore the mess)

We've been busy, busy these first 2 weeks of Summer Vacation and it doesn't look like it will slow down anytime soon.
I'm loving it!

Brian...Great Idea! Our anniversary just happens to be coming up August 24th. You have our address right to ship it over? We'll probably put it in the basement though since the sound system is much better.
