Spook-O-Ree 2013

After not sleeping much at last year's Spook-O-Ree I was sure we would never camp again.  But, a whole year softens one's memory and we decided "Let's Do It!"
So Spook-O-Ree 2013, here we come!"

loaded to the brim
(the amount of stuff needed to camp for 2 nights is insane
or is that just our family?)

packed in

our fancy tent

our neighbor's fancier tent set-up

After a good night of sleep for half our tent (and basically a sleepless night by the grown-up other half) we headed out for a day packed full of boy scout activities.

BB GUN SHOOTING
listening to the safety instructions

and FIRE!

showing off their bb-bullet-ridden targets

ARCHERY

SNAKE SHOW with LIVE SNAKES!!
(check out the Snakes R Us guy)

PUMPKIN DECORATING

OTHER ACTIVITIES NOT PICTURED:

costume contest: Lauren and Tyler chose not to participate
camp-ground trick-or-treating: Since L and T chose not to wear costumes I did not let them trick-or-treat (mean Momma)
freakishly haunted path:  super scary and tons of fun.  My kids are turning into fear junkies...they loved getting scared.

It was a jam-packed two-night camping extravaganza.  Matt and I did not sleep much and not at all comfortably but I'm sure we'd do it again in another 12 months.

Tyler came home with a rejuvenated love of archery and insisted we bring his archery set back out for another go-around.

love it!
