Well, we started off this first day of April by delivering Matt, once again, to the emergency room.
...whoa....joke in poor form...APRIL FOOLS y'all!!
Matt is okay.
Test results from last week did, however, show a new infection in his GI tract. This infection is (slightly) common in patients receiving strong antibiotics. So now in addition to his 2 IV antibiotics he also gets to take an oral antibiotic 3 times per day. Lucky guy.
(last two words should be read with extreme dry sarcasm)
Despite his discomfort he was able to attend Tyler's school Easter party.
There was an egg hunt

While talking about Matt to another Mom at the party I found out her son had an infection that turned sepsis when the boy was only 10 days old. I can't even imagine her suffering. She assured me that although it takes time it does get better. Even though sepsis in a 36 year old is different than a 10 day old infant it did make me feel better that we weren't the only ones who ever went through this.
Back at home we let Tyler indulge in his latest addiction?
the Wii
he's actually pretty good and loves to try new games
(and unlike Lauren, he doesn't throw a fit when he loses)
After Lauren got home from school the kiddos and I went outside to enjoy the 80 degree weather. I love Spring in the South. It's warm, beautiful and not humid at all.
We played tag, hide-n-seek and then took to drawing chalk outlines of each other.
(dinner was being delivered by friends from church so I didn't have to worry about cooking)
